Understand profit calculations

VoltPro provides detailed profit calculations and visualizations to help you understand your estimate profitability.

How VoltPro Calculates Basic Profit

For each line item:

  1. Material Profit: (Price × Quantity × (1 + Markup%)) - (Cost × Quantity)

  2. Fixed-Price Item Profit: (Fixed Price × Quantity) - (Cost × Quantity)

  3. Labor Profit: (Labor Rate × Hours) - (Labor Cost × Hours)

The total profit is the sum of all individual item profits.
