Product Updates: May 2025
Bulk CSV import for materials, additional estimate cost support, and more
May 30, 2025

We're excited to share some powerful new features we've added to VoltPro to help you create more accurate estimates and save time on material management:
Bulk CSV Import for Materials
We've built a powerful new way to bulk import your materials into VoltPro, saving you hours of manual data entry. With our new CSV import tool, you can:
Upload your entire material catalog at once including prices
Update existing materials in bulk
Assign existing categories and vendors or create new ones as part of the import process
The import tool allows you to map fields, validate data, and provides a report of successful imported objects.
To get started, simply prepare a spreadsheet (using this template) with your material data, export it as a CSV file, and upload it through the new import workflow in the Materials section. Here is a guide to get you started.

Non-Taxable Additional Cost
You can now easily add a non-taxable cost in your estimates with our new dedicated field. This feature is perfect for:
Adding permit fees that aren't subject to sales tax
Handling special regulatory fees or charges
Managing deposits or other charges that require you to skip the tax
Simply add the non-taxable amount in the dedicated field within the estimate builder, and VoltPro will automatically calculate your taxes correctly, ensuring your estimates remain accurate and compliant. The additional cost will be rendered automatically in the estimate PDF.

Other updates
We've also made these additional updates to help you estimate better:
Added the ability to add a custom title when generating an estimate PDF
Added the ability to show the description in an estimate's order sheet view
Fixed an issue where quantity decimal places caused an error in some cases
